Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right frame?
Choosing a frame can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. We act as your guide, looking at the colours, textures, and the “story” of your item to recommend a setting that enhances the art without overpowering it.
Can you frame 3D objects?
Absolutely. We specialise in 3D shadow boxes for high-value items like rugby jerseys and memorabilia. We use conservation mounting techniques to ensure that your items are secured safely and displayed with the depth they deserve.
Do you offer glass that prevents fading?
Yes. For items like the Ronaldo homecoming jersey or family photos, we highly recommend 99% UV-Protective glass. This ensures that the vibrant colours of your memories don’t fade over time when displayed in your home or office.
What if I have a lot of small photos from one trip?
This is where our multi-mount designs shine. Instead of multiple small frames, we can organise your favourite moments into a single, cohesive “Travelogue” layout that tells the full story of your journey in one frame.
I have a painting with a lot of texture—should it have glass?
For oils and acrylics with heavy texture (impasto), we often recommend a modern open-face frame with no glass. This removes the barrier between you and the artist’s work, allowing the texture to catch the light naturally while still being protected by an archival varnish.
How do I get my project started?
Since we believe that “everyone has a special story ” we prefer a personal consultation. You are welcome to visit our studio in Hillcrest with your treasured items, and we can look at samples together to find the perfect match.
